3 step method (present tense)

Verbs in Spanish have 3 different endings: -ar, -er, -ir

Step 1: Take a verb in its infinitive form: cantar (to sing), comer (to eat), vivir (to live)

Step 2: Remove the endings: cantar → cant-, comer → com-, vivir → viv-

Keep in mind that this method works for regular verbs (verbs that follow the rules)
